What’s Next?’s signature event is the Los Angeles Composers Project, an annual new music concert series on which the works of over 50 Los Angeles composers have been performed since 2009.
The 6th Annual Los Angeles Composers Project will take place at Art Share LA in Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, June 21st, 2014.
What's Next? is seeking 3 to 4 compositions for small ensembles to include on its program. Available instruments include flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano, percussion and guitar (classical or electric). Other instruments may be available. Electronics and other unusual instruments are welcomed, especially if the composer can provide or assist with them. Works will be selected for performance by members of the What’s Next? Ensemble and results announced in April 2014.
- Only composers residing in the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area are eligible to apply.
